On day of install when lining the chimney we discovered this very traditional brick arch that had previously been plastered over. It was decided with customer that work would cease until the brick chimney breast had been exposed fully. It was then repointed to create this original feature. The chimney was not accessible by ladder and a cherry picker had to be hired, the expense of scaffold is not always required. We have been in constant contact with the customer on this project as it is very important that the best overall look can be achieved.
